Small Ensembles

• Small combos of similar playing levels—3 to 7 players
• Structured rehearsals with individual attention—music and material assigned based on student levels and needs
• Music of classic jazz compositions and recordings
• Rhythm section seats limited to one player per instrument
• Acoustic piano, drumset and amp provided
• Play in final performance

Come join the fun and build your jazz performance skills in a guided rehearsal setting. Work on soloing, accompanying, and playing as a group.

Student Requirements
Punctual attendance and desire to learn to play jazz/desire to improve.

Students supply their instrument.

Homework
Homework is comprised of playing assignments based on the ensemble music and individual needs.

$275 for eight-week session - classes meet 1.5 hours weekly.

Registration and Payments
Registration for a small ensemble requires payment in full by the first meeting of a session (unless special arrangements have been made). Seats are filled on a 'first-come, first-serve' basis and cannot be assigned unless payment is received. Payments can be made by cash, check, or PayPal options (including credit card). Please note: Tuition not received in full by the first meeting of a session will incur additional $10 charges per week delinquent.

Benefits
Participating in a small ensemble is a great experience for developing musicianship skills of playing in time, using dynamics, listening and interacting, all while working on feel, soloing and accompanying.
