Evening Jazz Intensive

Monday July 18th through Friday July 22nd—6:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Open to all ages, instruments, and levels. One full week of small jazz ensemble playing and jazz studies, customized for participants and guided by their requests.

Past musicians affectionately called this "jazz boot camp", but really fun!

Cost is $295 - fifteen hours in five evenings.
($275 with Early-Bird Discount if registered by May 31st.)

Jazz Standards for Vocalists

Two hours weekly for four weeks. Class will learn and perform one to two vocal standards per week to build vocalists' repertoire for singing with any combo, and develop instrumentalists' abilities to play in all keys. Open to all ages. Max class size: Eight vocalists and four instrumentalists (piano, guitar, bass, and drums). Cost is $160.

A Study in Monk
Monday July 25th and
Tuesday July 26th
6:00 to 9:00 pm

Six hours of Thelonious Monk study and playing. Using five landmark compositions and recordings, study the history, harmony and improvisation of Thelonious Monk's music through listening, playing, and lessons. Offered in two class meetings. Open to all ages, instruments, and levels.

Cost is $120.
